Client Acquitted of All Charges -- Sexual Assault
A client facing eleven charges, including seven counts of sexual assault, was acquitted of all counts by a jury at the conclusion of a nearly three-week trial. The primary issue at trial was the credibility of the client's accuser, and the defence consisted of exposing her motivations to fabricate the allegations and confronting her with physical evidence which contradicted her accusations. Mr. MacDonald's presentation of the evidence demonstrated that the client was avtually innocent of every single charge -- something which the jury clearly understood.
